One distinguishing feature of our Art in Zambia Virtual Museum is the option of site content building by those interested in Art in Zambia. Any site visitors and any of the over 350 members of the Art in Zambia facebook group can do this now by proposing an ART WORK OF THE MONTH.
Submit a good photo by using a link provided by the site or post in the Art in Zambia group page. State your reason(s) that make this work of art special. This work of art now might enjoy Internet immortality and be seen in time worldwide by many people.
Don’t be shy – your submission could be art you made yourself that you cherish or a work of art you own and you think has outstanding qualities. Or choose a work by an artist who is unduly forgotten and underrated. Or a work that brings into memory a special occasion. Or a work that is technically innovative. Or a work of art that is topical as by a current exhibition and you think is great. Or art by an artist who is an upcoming star! There is no shortage of reasons to elect an Art Work of the Month.
If relevant: ensure that copyrights and permissions are adhered to! Don’t use a photo made by someone else unless you have received permission to so. Provide the basic details; Maker, title, size, medium, year, location. The shortest side of your photo preferably should be about 600 pixels. Set resolution for internet and screen purposes; i.e., 72 or 96. If you find this tricky - just upload or post, the rest will follow.
